A considered base

Why this apartment for the Cannes Film Festival.

Festival week in Cannes is relentless. Between the Marché du Film, invitation-only screenings at the Grand Théâtre Lumière, press schedules that start before breakfast, and receptions that run past midnight, the apartment you come back to decides how well you function the next morning.

Canard Laqué was renovated with that reality in mind. The two bedrooms are fully separated from the living area, so one guest can take a 7 a.m. call with Los Angeles while another sleeps off a late screening at the Cinéma de la Plage. The new kitchen — with a dedicated wine fridge — lets you host a small buyers’ meeting or a quiet dinner without booking a restaurant that is already full. The balcony opens directly onto the sea, which matters whether you are filing copy against a deadline, recording an interview segment with the Mediterranean as a backdrop, or simply wanting ten minutes of quiet between the morning screening and the afternoon meetings at the Majestic.

The location does something that central Croisette rentals cannot. During festival week the eastern stretch of the Croisette is cordoned, pedestrianised, or reserved for accredited vehicles; cars crawl, taxis refuse short fares, and the underground Palais car park is almost entirely pre-allocated. A seafront walk from Boulevard du Midi bypasses all of it. You arrive at the 24 steps without a taxi queue, without parking stress, and without having paid a Croisette-front premium.

For those coming to spectate — to watch the red carpet, to eat at the Plage restaurants, to take the Lérins Islands shuttle from the Vieux Port — the apartment is equally well placed. The Vieux Port is five minutes away on foot, Le Suquet and its restaurants eight, Rue d’Antibes ten. The difference is that at the end of the evening you come back to a quiet stretch of beach rather than a crowded boulevard.

Location & proximity

A seafront walk to everywhere that matters.

The apartment sits at 6 Boulevard du Midi, 06400 Cannes, directly on Plages du Midi, the western continuation of the Cannes seafront.

During festival week the seafront route becomes an advantage rather than a compromise. The boulevard de la Croisette is partially closed to private vehicles between the Palais and the Martinez from the afternoon into the early hours; taxis and rideshares add 20–30 minutes of queuing; the Palais underground car park is largely pre-allocated. Guests staying here walk the same distance as someone leaving the Carlton — just from the other direction — and arrive without the traffic.

Booking is direct. Payment terms and a written rental agreement are confirmed before any deposit is taken. A VAT-compliant invoice can be issued for business expense reporting.

Frequently asked questions

Everything to know before requesting your dates.

When is the Cannes Film Festival 2026?

The 79th Festival de Cannes runs from Tuesday 12 May to Saturday 23 May 2026. The Marché du Film runs in parallel from 12 to 20 May.

How far is the apartment from the Palais des Festivals?

Approximately 1.3–1.5 km, a fifteen- to eighteen-minute walk along the seafront. During festival traffic closures this route is usually faster than arriving by car or taxi.

What is the minimum stay during the festival?

Seven nights. This is standard across Cannes festival accommodation and aligns with the two natural festival windows: 12–19 May and 16–23 May 2026.

How much does it cost to rent the apartment during the festival?

From €268 per person per night, with a maximum of four adults. At full occupancy this is roughly €1,072 per night, all inclusive of parking, Wi-Fi, air conditioning and linen.

How many guests can stay?

The apartment accommodates up to four adults across two bedrooms, both with double beds.

Is parking included during the festival?

Yes. Private parking is included in the rental. This is unusual in Cannes in May; the Palais underground car park is largely pre-allocated during the festival and street parking is extremely limited.

Is the apartment suitable for industry guests attending the Marché du Film?

Yes. High-speed Wi-Fi, quiet bedrooms suitable for early calls, a living room that can host small meetings, a dedicated kitchen for working breakfasts, and a 15-minute seafront walk to the Palais make it well suited to producers, buyers, distributors and press covering the festival.

How do I avoid Cannes Film Festival rental scams?

Book directly with a verified host at a real, confirmable address, with a written rental agreement and an invoice. The Marché du Film publishes a public warning about fraudulent accommodation providers. This apartment is a registered property at 6 Boulevard du Midi, 06400 Cannes, with existing five-star review history on Airbnb and Google.

How do I get from Nice Côte d’Azur Airport to the apartment?

The airport is approximately 27 km away via the A8 motorway. A private transfer takes 30–40 minutes in normal traffic and 45–60 minutes during festival peaks. The Zou! Express Bus 81 connects the airport directly to Cannes SNCF station for approximately €19.50 one way.

Can I book for Cannes Lions or MIPIM instead of the Film Festival?

Yes. The apartment is also available for Cannes Lions in June and MIPIM in March. Contact us directly for dates and rates for other events.

Can I pay by bank transfer and receive a French invoice?

Yes. A written rental agreement is issued before any deposit, and a VAT-compliant invoice can be provided for business expense reporting.

What if I need fewer than seven nights?

Stays of fewer than seven nights are not available during the Festival de Cannes itself. Outside the festival period, shorter stays are possible; please contact us.
